Digging out from the Avalanche of Email Overload

Are you one of those people much like myself that receives entirely too much email? Are you so bogged down with messages every morning that you barely find time to get your normal work done? Is there a chance you may physically harm someone if you are carbon copied on one more message? You’re not the only one out there that shares these feelings. The number of e-mails we receive on a daily basis is sometimes overwhelming. It’s called e-mail overload, but it doesn't need to be that way.

Email overload causes problems for our information management with cluttered inboxes containing hundreds of messages, including outstanding tasks, partially read documents and conversational threads. We are left feeling like slaves to our inbox and our productivity suffers.

Don’t let your inbox dictate your work schedule by putting tasks to the side and responding to messages immediately. Instead use these few simple tasks to handle the problem of email overload.
