Google Pay

Where oh where is Google Pay? After an article in June of 2005, a lot of ears perked up when rumour had it that google was looking at a service that was set to possibly compete with Ebays Paypal.

As a seller and an affiliate in a number of programs myself, I wondered..... could it be true? That was two years ago, and still no word, but you know google, when they go, they go big.

I started looking around in a few of the forums that I am part of and Wow, the potential for a system that works out the problems all my people are complaining about, could become a staggering competitor for all the processors out there.

I heard people who couldn't seem to find payment processors that would work for them, or even worse, would arrogantly throw them to the wolves, when they had a problem, as if these folks.... many who make their full time living on the internet were of absolutely no value.

This may be what spurred Google to look at the whole scene to begin with, as they always seem to have an ear to the ground, and many of their successes come from a basic failing in their competitors.

The expansion in advertising on the net has grown exponentially in the last few years, and will only expand more and more over the coming weeks and months.

As more and more people look for a seamless solution to selling online and offline, the status quo will not and cannot remain. If you sell hard goods, and want to expand into software, and your processor doesn't handle it, where are you going to go if a system is set in place that handles everything. One that offers solutions instead of excuses, feigning ignorance, when questioned or one that just doesn't seem to place a value on you or your business.

I don't claim to know Google's business, but many of us do know their history, and if that is any indication, then their could be a glimmer of hope for thousands of folks, currently frustrated with trying to market their goods, and running into a blind wall.

Will Google gobble the giants in payment processing...... stay tuned.
